Hemispheres

Went to Greenwich today!

We took a riverboat tour to Greenwich, the place where Greenwich Mean Time is kept, and thus sets Longitude for the entire world. The Prime Meridian runs right through it, so you can stand with one foot in each hemisphere.

An entry to the Tower of London that can only be seen from the river! This “Entry to the Traitor’s Gate” is where prisoners passed via boat before they had their heads “surgically removed with an axe.” – The tourguide

We looked up what time it was for all of our friends doing Global Journalism! It was nighttime in India and New Zealand. In Argentina, the sun was just rising!
